Prices are coming down a bit on this model. It has more appeal to me than the U.S. carrier versions because of the better battery life, better DAC on the Exynos chip and obviously less bloatware.

Are there any big disadvantages to getting one (will run it on AT&T).

I may be wrong, but I don't believe you can use Samsung Pay with one of those. And really, the "bloatware" issue may sound sexy, but it is so overblown. I have no "bloatware" enabled that I don't want enabled and the few things what were included take up very little storage space.

I am using the duos of the non edge and love it. Had the ATT version and it's nice to not have a bunch of crap on there I have no interest in. So if you don't care about Samsung pay id say go for it.
