I have the snapdragon variant of the s7 edge and I feel like I've been getting way worse battery life than most. I barely get more than 3 and a half hours of SoT. It seems to me that the culprit is the WiFi. It's always active even when the phone is sleeping. I have it set to never on while sleeping. I don't know why it's always active. Suggestions?

There's a currently discovered bug that battery life is affected by Google's Back Up My Data somehow having problems with Doze. Try turning that off.

Also check your Location settings and in the Scan options turn off both, wifi and bluetooth. Check your wifi settings in general, go to Advanced and be sure to turn off most of those unnecessary settings and options.

With that said, there's something else going on with 6.0.1 and wifi, since I've got my S7 edge I've got excellent battery life but as soon as I turn on wifi battery life immediately gets an unusual hit, it still very good but not as great as it is with wifi off. I was thinking that it was a Samsung thing, maybe a bug needed to be fixed, but for my surprise the same is happening with my HTC 10, so it may be a Snapdragon issue (I've read about that before) or is definitely a Marshmallow issue, what is certain is that it isn't an issue exclusive to Samsung's phones.

How do we turn this off? I've been experiencing the exact same problem so you could me my savior!

Settings>Back Up and Reset>Under Google Account toggle off Back Up My Data.

Personally I enabled Samsung back up instead of it.

From what I'm reading yes its contributory.

Have done this charged to full and already noticing much better battery life!

Your cell standby usage is extremely high. Your screenshots show a very weak cell signal. This will contribute to high battery usage.

Posted via the Android Central App from my S7 edge

I'm going to try the suggestion because my Android OS is always ridiculously high. Also turned on the Samsung auto backup so let's see what happens
