How is everyone planning on selling their existing smartphones? I've used craigslist in the past but many here suggest that this is dangerous. Others have suggested Swappa. I went on their website and it says you have to be able to receive payments through PayPal. While I have a PayPal account I've only used it to buy a few things on eBay. Can I also receive payments through this PayPal account? If so, exactly how would this work? Would the buyer send PayPal their payment and then PayPal would send me an actual check with some kind of fee deducted? Would I have to link a bank account that they (PayPal) would credit with the amount of the sale?

Anyone can receive payments through PayPal if memory serves correct. They do charge a nominal fee for payments received. I forget the % off the top of my head but you can easily find it on the Paypal site. Once you receive payment, you could either spend the PP balance by shopping at companies that accept PP or transfer it to your bank account if you have one linked. Transfer to bank account takes a few business days.


On a positive note for me, my phone has an estimated delivery date of 3/9! Coming via FedEx 2 day. I ordered the silver on 2/23 as soon as the pre-order went live. It was around 5:03 PST.

I had the option of overnight shipping but chose not to pay extra for it because I assumed Verizon would just ship out 2 days early as they've done in the past. The 1 time they ship really early... GRRR.
