S7 or S7 Edge?

Going s7 edge in black on att. It looks awesome and has bigger screen and battery. Can't lose.

I'm still up in the air. I've been trying to watch all that I can, but I still can't make up my mind. I love the idea of a compact phone (Ha! Who woulda thought 5.1" was compact three years ago?!) - as I've been strictly phablet for so long. That extra battery is REALLY tempting. But I never had much trouble with the 3000 mAh battery in the Note 5. So I'd assume it would probably be even better on the S7.

I've been using a 5.5" screen for the last year and a half. I don't think I could go back to a 5.1" phone. And with a non-replaceable battery, the bigger battery in the Edge is a real plus. I have no particular desire for the curved screen, though. An S7 plus would be my choice, if only Samsung would give it to us.

My opinion, however, may not be remotely relevant to your needs and wants.

I prefer the s7e mainly for the larger screen. If there was an s7 plus (larger s7) then I would prefer that

In the past I had thought the edge was a gimmick but this time it looks like it will have some nice features that I may actually use. So I will be getting the edge this time around.

S7 for me. Perfect size for my hands and single-handed use. Coming from an ageing LG G2, it's almost the same size. S6 looks much better in person than in press shots so I suspect the S7 will also be great. Not a fan of shiny shiny stuff and the S6 Edge in certain colours (Gold and Silver I think) look a bit too tinny for me. I'm going for black this time!

S7 Edge looks fabulous and battery life I suspect will be awesome, but I want something smaller for daily usage. I'm super impressed that with a larger battery, larger display and body it's only 5g heavier than the regular S7!

S7 with 3000mAh battery should be good enough for my usage to give me 1-2 days. LG G2 battery life was and still is fantastic. S7 has the same size battery and although it has a 2K display compared to 1080p, the SoCs are 14nm process so should be much more power efficient, Android 6 is more efficient and includes the enhanced sleep mode, and presumably battery tech has improved in the last 2 years. So I'm expecting battery life to be better than my G2! :D

s7 for me, no idea why anyone wants bigger than 5.1 for a cell phone

I actually thought the GS3 was the perfect size for me at 4.8". At the time it was considered a giant. But still, millions prefer small phones as evidenced by the quantity of iPhone 5's that are being sold at 4".

I went with the Gold Edge on Verizon. I had an upgrade from my S5 to use.
32G was only choice in any color

Was very happy to see that by end of April, I should have a free Gear S2 :)

Now to figure out screen protector and a case

So today I managed to hold in my hand an S7 edge for the first time. It doesn't feel a whole lot a whole lot bigger than the S6 edge in the hand because the width is very similar but is it is noticeably taller. Feels nice but at the same time it's at the limits of what would be comfortable for me to use on a regular basis. I've yet to hold an S7, but I'll apparently be able to do that tomorrow for comparison. Seeing as the S7 has shrunk down slightly from the S6 and S6 edge I imagine it's going to feel a better fit in my hand. I'll know for sure soon.

I still am very tempted by the S7 edge just for that 20% larger battery alone but after today I'm getting the feeling that the S7 will be more comfortable to hold in my hand for long periods of time. I currently have a Sony Z5 Compact so I tend to prefer smaller devices as I have small hands.

It's a really difficult decision. I returned a Moto X Play when it first launched after two weeks because I just couldn't get used to the size of the thing. S7 edge is actually ever so slightly smaller than that device but only just, as both have small bezels compared to the competition.

I'm very conflicted but currently leaning towards regular S7, despite the smaller battery. I'll know for sure tomorrow.

Going Edge because it will still seem small compared to my iPhone 6 Plus, which I can 1 hand still.

No idea why anyone wants smaller than 5.7 for a cell phone

That said, will still probably end up with the Edge. Really liked the Edge on the Note 4 Edge and looks like they are sorta bringing the functionality back. Big battery too.

I like the S3, too. But after 18 months of using a G3, I've had to switch back to the Samsung for a bit (the G3 just isn't working right). Now I HATE the tiny screen. Everything is just easier to read and type on the bigger one.

I'll be getting the regular S7. I have no need for the edge. I've only had the S6 since October. I had an M9 that I got on release day. I'm such a freak when it comes to phones. Lol

I'd go with the S7 Edge for the bigger screen. I'm still on my Note 2, which is still working great, but is the reason I wouldn't want to have a smaller screen. Also the bigger battery is a big plus.

Since the official press release, I thought if I got an S7... it would be the base S7 over Edge... but I just stopped by Best Buy today to finally get a chance to see one in person and I am definitely OK with the S7 but I got a chance to confirm what I read in specs... that putting against mt current LG G3, that the S7 Edge is noticeably narrower than the G3 and slightly only taller.

I personally think the LG G2 size was perfect for a mobile phone... but when the G3 came out I got it and prefer it wasnt bigger but able to live with it. Didn't like the trend with G4 getting bigger but I can most likely live with a size of a S7 Edge being narrower than my current phone and feels thinner in hand. Also you get a bigger battery and also comes in the silver I like. I'm waiting for all the reviews to pour in but I'm leaning S7 Edge now.

Rep was carrying an S6 Edge Plus... ridiculously large.
