S7 updated to Nougat and lost my autocorrect dictionary?

AC Question

My old phone was an S5, and the same thing happened to that after I did a big system update - the autocorrect dictionary lost all of my personalised data and was reluctant to learn anything new. Interestingly, when I transferred my data over to my S7 using smart switch, the new S7 had a fully personalised autocorrect dictionary, which was great. Since updating to Nougat last night, I've now lost that.

Is there anything that I can do to get my old personalised data back?

Go into you Samsung account in settings and make sure everything is being synced.

My unlocked S7 Edge just got Nougat last week and I couldn't even figure out where the dictionary was in settings. I have now found it under Settings; Gen Mgmnt; Lang & input; Virt Keyboard; Samsung Keyboard; Predictive Text as "Text shortcuts". But, alas, my old shortcuts were gone.

they do have it well hidden, don't they! Takes me many tries to find it.

Here is a little tip for future references. If you have a hard time finding something or not sure where a particular setting is, use the search function in the upper rightツ

Have used the search function, but it didn't really bring me to the personal dictionary (I think that's what I was searching for). Just brings you to the Language and Input screen and then you still have to hunt for the right place to look. If you search for Text Shortcuts, it comes back No results found. @LineKill, does yours work any differently?

Hmm, it must vary by carrier. As you can see in the screenshot, it comes up as I start to type dictionary.

Thanks, LineKill. I tried the search feature and it populated just like your screen shot. But, when I click the result, it still only took me as far as the "Language and Input" page. I still had to stumble into the rest of the menus. :'(

I can get there but enabling it makes no difference: it learns nothing about what I write.
