S7E Randomly Crashes

Hello, my S7 will randomly crash. Is there anything that isn't as drastic factory reseting my phone? Any way to diagnose what's causing this?

First, try wiping the cache partition, which won't erase any personal data: https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-28028

How frequently does it crash? If it's frequent, you can also try booting into Safe Mode, which temporarily disables all 3rd party apps. https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-28008

If the problem disappears in Safe Mode, then something you installed is causing the problem. You may have to uninstall apps one by one until the problem disappears. If the problem persists in Safe Mode, then it's more likely to be a hardware or firmware problem.

I cleared my cache partition and it seemed to temporarily fix the issue. It would crash every 5 to 10 minutes before. It hasn't crashed in the time between my first post and this one

It's back to crashing, there is also a huge amount of lag. Funny thing is my brother and I have the same phone, and we both got the issue after the Samsung cloud/September security update. Anyone else have the same issue?

I had the same issue and started with wiping the cache partition. Sadly what truly fixed it for me was doing a factory reset. But in your case with lag check to see how much free storage is available, I have noticed as I fill up my phone with pictures, movies, music etc it tends to slow down a bit as I get closer to 30 gb used.

Unfortunately even a factory reset didn't fix it, in really starting to think it's hardware failure. Considering that it effected both mine and my brothers phones at about the same time I'd think it's a manufacturing fault, I mean we've had these phones since the day after release
