S8 Android 9 update battery drain

Well, upgraded my Verizon S8 plus to Android 9 on Tuesday and battery life just ain't what it used to be. I've put all the usual culprits to sleep, removed all the bloatware that the update installs, and have all my settings the same as before.
Has anyone else experienced this and can offer any help? Thanks!

Might take a week to learn battery usage, as pie brought adaptive battery on board, if still a issue then possibly a factory reset and should be fine.

I hear you but if it gets you back to better battery life it's well worth it.
