The first picture shows my s8 prior to it getting wet while the next shows it after. It's not really visible in the pictures of the camera but there are blue specks in the lens. After getting wet the rear camera and mic fixed themselves but my front camera continues to be blurry and misty. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can fix this?

Well, I actually dropped my phone in water more than a month ago. That's why i feel most of these methods will not help any further as a month onwards my front camera is not working while the rear cam and mic which had issues are back to full working conditions. I'm not really sure what's wrong with the front cam. I've used a hairdryer in case of any moisture, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Thanks for the reply

My guess is that some moisture got under the front camera glass, and it can be hard to get it out, since it may not evaporate completely. An alcohol bath might help to remove that retained moisture. You might also try the well-known method of sealing the phone in a bag full of a desiccant (like uncooked rice, or a whole bunch of those "Do Not Eat" silicone packets that come with packaging) for about 48 hours straight.

Well I took it to a store, and they were initially going to replace the camera module because they said cleaning didn't work. However, even that didn't work as they said the inside of the front lens which is part of the screen has damage, meaning just for a lens I'd have to replace the entire display, which obviously would cost a whole lot of money. Really wish the s8 was more easily repairable :( looks like I'll have to accept my camera as it is

Well, I had my screen replaced already 6-8 weeks ago.
Now I just realized today, that my front cam is totally blurry and in this condition completely useless. I suspect that the blurry selfie cam is a result of the screen replacement. My mistake, that I didn't do a proper test after getting the phone back. When I go now after more than 6 weeks to the repair shop to complain they gonna laugh at me, and to some extent probably rightly so. Still, it pisses me off a little. I don't use the selfie cam a lot but every now and then... f**k!
