S8+ got to 104.5 °F when charging yesterday

Regardless of the charging method, no issues with my GS8 getting warm. Whether I take it off the charger in the morning or in the car, it's always cool.

My S7 overheated and quit charging two days ago, it was in direct sunlight in my car.
Did it start working again? I was using a solar panel to charge and left my phone in the sun. Overheated my S6 and it shut down charging until it cooled down. Worked fine after though.

Have you had any issues with the S6. When my son had one, at just 5 months old it quit turning on. After charging for literally 45 seconds to a minute, it got so hot we would have to set it down (stove top type of hot). He took very good care ofhisnphone. We got a warranty replacement and no issues since. Now he's got the 7edge and likes it.

Yesterday I was charging my S8+ with a Samsung Micro Usb cord with UsbC adapter, Samsung wall end. Changed fine but got hot. Temp according to the app went to 104.5°. It's been fine since but that raises a little concern.

You mentioned using a Samsung Micro Usb cord with UsbC adapter. Have you tried using the charger and cord that came with the phone? That cord doesn't need an adapter to fit into the USB Type C slot on the S8+.

I've been using the charger and cord that came with the phone and haven't noticed any rise in the phone's temperature.

My Droid turbo ran 110 all day no issues for 2 years. Upgraded to s8 recently and it run close to that as well. Battery apps are actually not very good for you battery or your phone period. Constantly analyzing your battery for data and like CNN, creates fake worries. Use your service providers app for any battery concerns, they're designed specifically for your device and don't contain any bloatware. Also try disabling certain apps running in the background... These apps running along with a charge at the same time will definitely increase the heat. Good luck, but 104 isn't to bad.

No, just when I left it to bake in the sun. I had the international version and gave it to my sil when I got my S8.
