s8 plus sprint, unlock code invalid SIM

I paid for my phone outright at Best Buy when the S8 plus launched. Sprint sent me a unlock code because I have the phone sold. But every time I stick a Sim in it says invalid SIM , it doesn't matter which carrier sim i put in. How do I get to the screen where I can enter the unlock code

When you get the pop up that says invalid sim, try swiping up from the bottom to open the screen to enter unlock code

Also, if I type this into my dialer, this screen comes up...see pic.
Mine is a US unlocked model, so don't know if it works for a sprint phone.
Not sure if this is the screen to enter your unlock code.

I just went through this with Sprint there is no code, tier one customer support has no clue. You have to immediately ask for the group that handles UICC unlock. You don't need any codes at this time. It takes 2 days and when you go to the update screen and tap the last choose UICC at some point around 48 hours it will switch to a pop up saying this phone can support any UICC. That is the only way to unlock it then when you get a sim from the new carrier and yes this phone works with all of them you get a code number that must be entered on initial boot with the new sim.
