s8 requires text messages to be downloaded and gps stops working during navigation

[Android Central Question]

I've searched these topics with no solution. Some people's texts and group texts require me to download them each time which becomes really annoying. I have tried numerous settings. Google maps and Waze also will stop following me during navigation randomly and say no gps signal while in the middle of NYC - this is even more frustrating because I will miss exits constantly. Spent 50min with tmobile and they didn't help at all - hoping someone can help me - thanks

As for GPS, what's your signal bar?

Is your Location set to High Accuracy? It's not that unusual to have poor GPS signal in the middle of a bunch of skyscapers -- this still happens to me in downtown San Francisco.
