Didn't the N7 have a SD 820?That's what we were saying about the note 7, that phone didn't run hot unless of course you had a damaged battery.
The S8 series is basically the note 7 with a few tweaks and no S pen.
I said a few tweaks. LOL
OK let's get technical. I'll correct it for you.A 14nm process and a 10nm process isn't a small tweak. Its an entirely different architecture. The pho rd aren't the Same lol.

I am sure we will find some S8'S do the same. My S7 edge did not get hot at all either and some did. In general a lot with the n7 reported it did not get hot, mine included.Don't know about that. I had a note 7, and when I was transferring my data to set it up, it felt so hot you could melt cheese. There were other times I was charging wordlessly and it felt hot too. Mine never actually caught fire though. But, yeah - gotta say I feel like this S8+ runs cool
That will be a good test. Haven't used the S8 plus in the vr yet. The note 5 would get extremely hot. My S7 edge did not get extremely hot, warm yes. I know it maybe got to 100°, the note 5 hit 115, it actually shut down. I don't use vr that much though, but the vr seems to heat the phones up.VR is the real test. My note 7 and 5 along with the wife's s7 would almost burn your hand after using VR for an hour or so.
