Although the S20 is better than the S8+, if you are still satisfied with your S8+ (good performance, good battery life, etc.) then I would wait a bit longer until the S21 (or whatever it will be called) comes out. There's nothing wrong with the S20, but why buy a new phone if your current one is perfectly good. If you're not satisfied with your S8+ anymore, then you're free to upgrade to the S20 (or any other phone you want).

That's a personal decision, what's worth to me is different then what worth to you. With that said, there is a noticeable difference between the s10 and s8, so going to the s20 will be even more noticeable. I think you will be happy with the improvements coming from the s8. Whether it's worth it to you, well that's a question only you can answer. You will ask this question every time a phone comes out, it's up to you when you pull the trigger

If your due for an upgrade which I am sure you are and have the money to do it I say go for it. You will notice a big difference and like someone else said you will have Android 10 the new UI and faster processor better camera and more I am sure from the 8 plus.

What phones have Android 10? Just checked and I'm running android 9 and One UI 1.0 on my Note 9.

I'm jumping from an S8 Active to the S20 Ultra. I was going to purchase a camcorder to video soccer games for highlight clips, but I figured the S20 Ultra will do everything I need. If it weren't for the need to substantially upgrade cameras, I wouldn't change phones until something went wrong with S8 Active.

Skipping the S9 & S10 I think it's a worthy upgrade. You should notice the difference for sure.

I didn't know the updates stopped after 2 years. I hate saying this, but sounds to me like regulation needs to be passed that phones are supported as normal for like 10 years, like automobiles are. Just throwing a number out there, 2 years isn't right. These phones are to expensive not to have support longer then 2 years. What's outdated to us in this forum is new for a lot of people. Just my thoughts

They do say they'll continue with security updates but it won't be as frequent and not sure for how long. But I agree with you completely.

Yes. There is definitely a jump from the S8 to the S20.
