S8 unlocked version or carrier version?

Trying to decide between the two. I love the unlocked version because it doesn't have bloatware on it, and no additional branding. But they always get released later, preorders will be on May 9th. Should I get the T-Mobile version or the US unlocked version? I always buy my phone outright because I could afford it and I always end up selling my old phone online (thanks to my cheap low-cost prepaid plan, $34 a month). Any other pros and cons? Going to have to watch everyone else get theirs first ??????
