S8 wont let me enable two apps in the NOTIFICATION ACCESS menu

Hi there, im having an issue with the LED light not working, at all.
And just after having my phone for 18 days. I tested the *#0*# function, and nothing...

So Im worried its a hardware issue, but hoping its a software issue. (i trust samsung too much to believe this will break so fast, so I went digging and eventually found the following thread.

But this user is also having the same issue as described in my thread title.

How does one enable these two apps from the attachment?

- LED icon editor
- People Edge

Not sure I'm understanding your issue, but in the graphic you slide the button to the right to turn those items on.

I posted in the other thread asking if the people with the issue have trying clearing apps cached data and Wipe Cache Partition in Recovery mode, try it and see if it's a glitch and this fixes it.

Thanks, I shouldve been more descriptive. When I do that, i get a popup with two options, Allow and Deny, when I allow.. it jumps to the right and turns blue for one second. And then it slides back to de-activated state... without any freaking reason.

It only happens to the two apps in the screenshot.

Thank you for your responses. I clean the cache regularly using both Clean master and samsungs own optimazation tools. I have not yet tried the 'Wipe Cache Partition in Recovery mode' method.

Ok unfortunately using Wipe Cache Partition in Recovery mode did not help.

After some more reading I did manage to turn on the 'People Edge' slider by - how silly - enabling the 'People Edge' edge panel inside the configuration of the panel itself.

Too bad I want the LED to work.... Makes me think something must be enabled for the front-facing LED indicator to work; but really couldnt tell you what or why its disabled. The search continues...

Im hoping to turn on the LED icon editor, so it will - hopefully - turn my LED indicator back on.

EDIT - I just figured it out, the LED icon editor must be turned off by default because it must be the app used by the special expensive Samsung LED cover. I pains me to conclude that the LED icon editor application has nothing to do with the front-facing LED indicator.
