S8 Zedge custom notifications not recognized

Trying to set custom Zedge notifications for several contacts within Message+ app, Gmail and Outlook - the zedge notifications show up as options but even after I select one and touch "set notification" - the same system default notification is still set.

From the Zedge app, I "saved to device" mutiple notifications. And they do show up when I'm in the above named apps trying to change the notification in the settings. It allows me to select it within the zedge list and hit "set notification" but when it goes back to the settings - the same system notification is selected.

Try using Media Storage instead of Zedge when changing.

The trick is that you have to use the "set notification" option instead of downloading. Setting the default notification tone somehow saves the tone in that notification sounds list. Then you can customize.
