S9+ and notifications

On my s7 edge i was able to see when I got notifications from Facebook on the app icon. Now with my s9+ i can't. Need help please. All sliders are turned on

Seems like a lot of people are having this problem, including me. Contacting support is useless, because they tell you to do the things I've already done. For example, clearing cache and data, turning app settings and phone app notification settings on, restarting the phone, uninstalling updates then reinstalling, force stop, factory resetting the phone. In the end, they basically said they would forward the information to the appropriate team and hopefully it will be fixed in an update.
