S9+ Headphones are terrible

I've never been a fan of ear buds and ear phones. I much prefer over-the-head headphones. I don't have to worry about them falling out, etc. I was considering getting some Samsng Icon X but I have a feeling they'd need constant adjustment too. ...and that'd be a PITA for me.
You might be surprised at how well they stay in. I certainly was. I can jump and shake my head around and they don't budge. It's crazy how good they are.

How's the battery life on them in your experience? Are they worth the $198?

Battery life is really good. You'll definitely get the 5 hours they state, and then you'll get a full recharge from the case before the case needs to be charged as well. I never have a problem with low battery. I feel like they're worth the 198, but I will say that I got mine for 99. They were an amazing bargain at that price.

$99. Sweet!

I have an s8 and I really like the quality of the AKG headphones it came with so if the s9 does not match up to those then I will be disappointed.

I didn't care for them either. They sounded muddy to me and kept falling out of my ears no matter which ear pieces I used. Back to my cheap Marshmallows. LOL

I like the S9+ AKG earphones WAY better then my S7 ones.

I've been using my S9+ earphones since I got my S9+ on the 13th and these things are amazing. The sound quality and range is by far better then my S7 earphones.

They are better then my S8+ earphones, but they sound like they are just tuned better.

These S9+ AKG's are even better then my RIG gaming headphones.

A personal update as I started this thread. It would seem its a fit issue rather than sound issue.
Of I gently push them in a bit further creating a better fit, they sound very good indeed, however, the second I let go of them, the sound becomes tinny again.

The smaller buds, I don't even get to the good sound let alone them staying in.

I must have weird ears.

Get a set of Comply foam tips

Just replace the tips with Comply if the problem is seal.

I have some for my Shure ear buds. I don't care for them. The factory triple flange works way better. I only went with aftermarket versions of those because I could get them in silicone instead of rubber. And mostly, I wear ear buds under my motorcycle helmet which are attached to me Sena Bluetooth headset. The sealing in this case are important as they act as ear plugs to keep me from damaging my ears from wind noise in the helmet.

Wow, I think the provided headphones are awesome. Same as the ones I got with my S8+ and now I have two pairs. I use Bluetooth ear buds at the gym and when I go for runs but these are a great backup pair. I think they sound great and fit my ears well. Best headphones I've ever gotten with a phone, S8+ and S9+.

Best free headphones you can get... You're paying for the phone not the earbuds. After reading this thread I figured I'd try them - they sound great imo. I use Jabra Sport wireless buds(which sound awesome - much louder on my S9 too) mostly at the gym etc. but these will be perfect as a spare set.

If the OP has the same buds as what came with my 9+, I disagree completely that they are turribul’.
