s9+ : importing foto's and videos

[Android Central Question]

When i import foto's and video's from another device, they arrive at both the sd card, aswell at the internal storage, although i clearly had clicked on 'store on sd card'. When i want to remove the foto's from my 'gallery', they are also gone from my sd card . So it's taking storage space on my sd card , aswel as on my phone storage...

How are you importing them and do you see them twice in your gallery?

I was importing foto's and video's using a direct connection ( usb-cable (external hard drive - s9+)) . They are seen only once in 'my gallery'. Video's can't be played in gallery ( grey screen with a !). To play the video on my sd card i have downloaded ' VLC player' from the google play shop.

Are you sure they're downloading to internal memory? Do you see TWO files on the Gallery (from the post above, seems you don't) or find the same file twice with a File Manager?

From the last post it sounds like you just have them saved to SD card...
