S9+ just started ghost clicking itself

So I wish I could figure this out. Just a day or two ago my phone started clicking itself and going nuts with different screens, menus, etc. I couldn't control it and it had a mind of its own for several seconds. Can't figure out a pattern. Help or thoughts appreciated. Getting ready for factory data reset darn it.

Usually this is a hardware problem, such as a bad connection of the screen. I've also seen it happen due to a bad USB cable (it worked fine when not plugged in). I doubt a factory reset will fix it.

I'm actually hoping it could be the crappy screen protector. If it happens again I'll remove and see what happens.

No I replaced with Whitestone dome so far so good
