S9 not charging

[Android Central Question]

I have had my s9 for 4 weeks now and had trouble getting it to charge I have to take the plug out a number if times fornitbto charge I've even got new chargers for this is this a common problem

I don't know that it's common, though I doubt that it is given reasonable treatment of the phone, but let's ask the S9 guys by moving the thread there.

I'm guessing you may have a damaged or faulty charging port.

It's definitely not common. I have mine since launch and it makes the same 'click' when I plug it in as it did on day one. Plus, it charges normally. You should first clean the charging port of any lint and everything else that's inside. If it's still not working, try bringing it to a repair center.

The OP didn't mention if the new chargers work fine, or if they also have the same problem. If they work fine, then it's probably just a bad charging cable and/or plug.
