S9 Performance and Speed

I have the Pixel 2 XL and I'm looking forward to giving the S9+ a try. I really liked the s8+cwhen I had it. Everything worked well. I switch to the Pixel for updates and the camera. I have more than a few times where I was on vacation and had some photos taken and the Pixel didn't focus and the photo was not good. I have an s7 sitting around so with the trade in and selling my 2 XL I'll actually be ahead by maybe $100.

It's smooth too. When you see the video it shows how fast everything opens and it's faster than the iPhone X in opening some games.

I'm still on the fence. I use the s8+ and it's as fast as the day I purchased it. The 6gb's, the camera & stereo speaker's hold my interest. But other than that very minimal upgrades!

I waited for the S7 over the S6, as the S7 had fixed all of the S6's faults, and the S9 appears the same over the S8. Stronger construction, thicker glass, stereo speakers, and better camera. I never buy the first model of anything and it's always served me well. Minor upgrades over the S8, but all worthwhile if you plan to keep a phone for 2 years. To me, the pixel 2 is an ugly phone, with a much worse screen (compared to Samsung). The difference in the cameras is miniscule for the typical phone user, which people are stressing far too much about.

I'm starting to think that the 9 plus is pretty much the it phone. It will have everything. I can only think of 2 things that might make me upgrade after this. AX wifi and 5g support.

One thing that surprised me comparing the XL2 and 9+ today at Verizon was the speakers. I expected the XL2 to be better with front firing speakers. 9+ blew it away with music and trailers I tested. Did not expect this.

Folks that might be testing at Best Buy and other loud acoustically challenged places are not getting a good comparison.

Stop it! You're making me want this damn phone.
