S9 plus has a physical problem light leakage from edges

mine also has a slight light leakage. but it's all sides and corners equally, very faint glow in the dark unlike OP which seems to have it only on the right side. this issue is mostly likely due to the fact that samsung didn't opt for plastic or rubber buffer between the glass and metal. unlike the iphone x or other modern phones. they wanted a seemless touch experience of glass on metal without the plastic part.
Mine has the light leakage too. It's only noticeable in the dark though. The front glass is also the wrong size for the body. There is 1mm of unfinished metal showing near the corners if I look closely because the glass top isn't totally covering the device body. Build tolerances would seem lax compared to the S8+ I had before this.

brian I think I know what you are talking about, in fact I made a thread about it on another forum. on one of my corners especially the one near the headphone jack the metal doesn't look completely straight, sort of zigzaggy a bit. it isn't very noticeable under normal lighting conditions, and can be seen from a certain angle. other corners have it to but way less noticeable near the white band. my color is gray, this issue doesn't seem to be present much on the black color, only pink, blue and gray. I made a video about it if your interested to see.

I am noticing the same issue since last few days with my S9+ at exatly same places of the edges.
I am brightening my display resolution then it’s clearly more visible.
I am planning to take it to service centre, I am not sure they are gonna replace it or not.

Can it makes some sense on waterproof? What do you think ?
