As the title suggests i am trying to get my screen to stay on while on a call( especially on speakerphone ). I makse several calls a day to utility companies from my truck wherebi will be on hold but then quickly need to use the key pad but my screen will time out and sometimes i dont get it back on in time. Im trying to find a solution that doesnt involve changing my screen time out to 10 minutes.
I have tried Screebl but it doesn't work with this phone. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Kevinc, You can always keep your phone homescreen on by putting it thru speaker or best is by using a headset so you can talk and see whats on your screen at the same time.

Not sure if it's an option on the S9 but older Samsung phones like the Note 3 in my hands it's easy to do.

I just open settings, call, unchecked the box that says turn off screen when on call.

I called Samsung. They said they have been receiving calls about this and that it will require a Google update (whatever that means). They advised they have made note of it and will let Google know of the need for an update concerning this. In the meantime, I found a solution that is working wonderfully for me. I've downloaded an app in the Playstore called "Kinscreen". It doesn't use much of the battery and has solve the issue for me. Hope this helps.

Settings> search for "Smart Stay"
Tested on my S9+ and it works during calls.
Downside: you need to be looking at your screen.

This feature is as bad as Bixby in my opinion.
I discovered a work around though.
Download Keep Screen On from the play store.
Open the app and choose show system apps.
Scroll down quite a ways until you see the 3 phone apps.
Enable each one.
Screen stays on while using speakerphone
Link to the app:

This worked perfectly - thank you. Having the screen go dark while on a call was SO annoying...

If you install that app just be sure to read up on user comments.
Many complained about suspicious traffic from that app. As in: high traffic.
