I'm in Safe Mode.
In safe mode, how do I find/isolate individual apps that maybe draining the every loving life out of my phone battery?

I found that the gps was draining mine at night.

It's been in safe mode awhile now and is clearly not draining as quickly as it was.
But how do I find which app was giving me problems?

It's difficult to isolate the culprit just using the safe mode, specially with a Samsung device. In other phones you can enable one by one third party apps while on safe mode, making a bit easier the search, but that's not possible with Samsung.

You need to check the battery stats after the drain and see if some app shows an unusual percentage. A battery monitor like Gsam can give you more details than the stock stats.

I wish battery usage stats weren't as secured as they are... With root access it's much easier to see wakelocks and additional usage stats. Google always touts improvements with each iteration of Android but always falls short.

Says android services is the biggest user at 25 percent.
Nothing I can do about that. I've ordered a new battery.
Curious to see if life increases then and maybe the battery was bad.
