Safe to buy Oneplus?

I have owned a OnePlus 5t for over 2 years. All was ok initially then after a few months of updates the Bluetooth audio has been a nightmare. I know it's a bug. But tech support ask the usual time wasting questions.
On that basis I would be reluctant to buy anothrr, although j had the same issue with Samsung note 3 and worse on 4. Eventually Samsung released an update and the note 4 still works great today.
The OnePlus 5t is a wonderfully light phone to hold and carry though.

OP5 since the day it was released and rarely been more pleased.

The OnePlus 5 was definitely a phenomenal phone, and the first phone from OP that I truly wanted. I liked it better than the 5T, actually. But I also loved the 5T. :) Oxygen OS also sounds amazing!

After Huawei was already banned in the US, and knowing what we know now about Coronavirus and China's cover-up causing a global pandemic; are Chinese phones safe to buy? Or will the government blacklist Chinese products such as smartphones from companies like Oneplus?

I want to get the Oneplus 8 Pro (or Oneplus 8 5G UW on Verizon- which I have), but worried that in a few months I might get locked out of updates and my phone become obsolete like Huawei phones.

Edit: Additionally, would you get the Oneplus 8 Pro (or Oneplus 8 5G UW on Verizon) over the S10+ or S20+? Why or why not?
You can get an 8 for 350 at TMO right now And side by side they are both nice devices I actually like the oxygen OS on the 8. For the price you really can't go wrong.

Maybe it's a one off, but my 7T freezes constantly. It's become so bad that I have gone back to my Pixel 2 XL. This is a known problem, I have seen discussion about it all over the web. Why won't OnePlus fix it? The 7 Pro I had was filled with camera issues and this one freezes every time you open an app. So, NO, I absolutely wouldn't be anywhere near comfortable buying their garbage ever again! And won't!

I had issues when I initially switched to OnePlus.. the 7t as well to be exact. Right out of the box, so I opted for the 8 and it's been smooth sailing.
