I am installing Safestrap as I type this but I have a few questions before I install my first ROM. I watched the videos online and am familiar with the process, so I know I have to do a factory reset after making a backup.

My questions are:

- Do I have to restore my data from my Titanium backup once the new ROM boots?

- Is my data still on the safe partition?

- If I get texts change app data on one partition and then switch ROMs, will that data be read while on the other ROM or do I have to backup with Titanium and restore each time I switch ROMs?

Thanks guys.

What data are you talking about? Contacts and apps will restore when you boot into new rom. Texts will not. Not sure if you can restore texts with titanium.

Tapatalked from my Bionic

I meant app data, but I know that is backed up in the Titanium backup.

So basically it works like a dual boot PC. Anything I would do in Windows won't effect what I do on Ubuntu and vice versa. And once I install the ROM, I can switch back and forth from one to the other and all the data on each partion will each stand on their own.
