Same notifications

I keep getting the same notifications on my lock screen even after I swipe them away. The only way keep the same notifications from reappearing to go into whatever app the notification is from and access that item. So for instance an email notification I will have to into the email app and read the message. The the notification for the message doesn't reappear.

Is there a way to turn that feature off?

Can't say I've had that problem. With email, if I swipe away the notification it stays gone until I receive another email. Same with texts, fb, etc.

check the settings (either in the individual app or the system notification setting) there is an option to "repeat notification".

I don't think there is a option to close it. You have to read that or totally turn off the app notification.
