Samsung 8+ printing

I am new, both to a Samsung S8 plus and to an HP Office Jet Pro 8720 printer. I am having problems printing from the S8. The phone connects to the printer ok and the 'Print' icon appears. When I click the icon nothing happens. Any ideas please? I did phone the Samsung helpline but they weren't able to solve the problem.

Have you ever tried PrinterShare? See whether you get better results with that.

My HP printer lists 2 types in my phone, if I select the wrong one nothing happens. I do have the plug-in installed from HP , not from Samsung.
Otherwise it works perfect, it's the office jet 5740

PS. Perhaps your printer is the culprit, maybe new driver causing it, or old driver.
In any case, seems your printer doesn't process the print command given by phone.

Do you have the Android mopria plugin?
