Samsung A5 (2017) - Having typed up an email using Outlook, why can't I then add an attachment?

Use to be able to add attachments to my Outlook emails. When I touch the attachment icon and then select Images the email automatically goes into Drafts folder. Then I select a photo, the only thing to select is Open, not done. I go back abd open draft message but no attachments are shown. Help please. Don't think emal shouls go into drafts folder?

Open the email in the drafts folder and add an attachment. If it still doesn't work, email Microsoft at noreply@microsoft.com They wrote it, Google didn't, Samsung didn't, we didn't.

Are you using the Outlook app or another email app for your outlook.com account?
