Samsung Adaptive Charger

Would this charger be safe to use with a Nexus 5?

"Input: 100-240V~50-60HZ 0.05A ~ Output: 9.0V==1.67A or 5.0V==2.0A"

Second Question: Would it provide faster charging?

Yes it's safe to use. The fast charging is the one rated at 9V 1.67A but the 5x will use the alternate 5V 2A option.

No it won't be faster than charging with the charger supplied with the 5x, since that charger is capable of 3A at 5V

Thank you. I carry the charger that came with the Nexus 5x with me when I'm out but I've only used it once to charge the phone and that was the day I got it. Normally, I just charge either with an old charger with a USB C cable or one of my USB micro cables with a USB C adapter.
