Samsung and Zfold 7 with Gmail

Gmail notifications issues.
I have always had issues with Samsung phones and now with z 7.

I have checked and re checked searched youtube I just dont get Gmail notifications.

Phone seems to pull emails off server but I just dont get notifications.

I will check and see where email came in like 20 minutes ago but again not notified.

Anyone every had this issue?
this is on lock screen i check with phone opened.

Nothing on lock screen or with device open. mails are there BUT no notifications
I am getting notifications for text messages.
I went back and checked setting you posted back in Feb.
Anyone using a dif email app for Gmail ?

I'm assuming you transferred everything over maybe something got botched up , try resetting Gmail by long pressing it then tap info>storage>clear data then force stop it

what about this? I dont see this setting in Android 16
Make sure under App Info that Gmails Battery restriction is set to Unrestricted.

Hmm, mine works fine leaving it on "optimized" setting.

Smart Switch, for some unknown reason, loves to turn off notifications. Gmail has some notification settings within the app and a ton of notification settings through Android.

Pop-up notifications were turned off for incoming messages and I just figured that out earlier.

I'm having this same issue and switched the battery setting to unrestricted but it's still not working. I have three Gmail accounts synced to my phone and none of them send notifications.

Any other suggestions?!?! I'd hate to have to return the phone because of this....

I just got this issue too. I stopped mobile data, put it in airplane mode, waited a minute, and re started both. My emails immediately began pushing notifications. So far it's been good for about 4hrs. Sent myself a bunch of test emails.

Dang!!!! I'm trying to think of what else I pressed. I think I toggled on and off a notification in the app. Let me see if I can find it

I went in "manage accounts" on the Gmail app. Toggled on and off auto sync data, and then opened the specific email and toggled sync email.
