Samsung Billing App
What and why did my phone just install this app and no choice to uninstall only disable.
Also the other day it installed kindle books and signed me up recieved a email saying thanks you have a 3 dollar credit.
I have auto update set for apps but nothing to install without permission!!!

I noticed that 'Samsung Billing App' earlier this evening and I didn't want to disable it because I thought it was related to Samsung Pay.

Are you on Verizon by chance? I forget the name of it but there is an app in some carrier phones that automatically downloaded software without asking the user

DTIgnite is the software. It shows up under system apps not in the launcher. I am on T-Mobile so I don't have to deal with it, but I think it can be disabled with package disabler Pro

Ok tks good info....

It just downloaded to my device -a tab s2 unlocked international version / i don't have samsung pay ( not available in thailand last time i checked etc )
I didn't see a notification that it was checked and safe by the app service that does this ( comodo )
I have No idea why it arrived to my device , its not showing in my galaxy store "my apps" section , nor showing in playstore, and it doesn't even show in a S finder search on the tablet itself ---
And its showing a list of permissions in app manager that were never asked for nor granted
What caused this- ? Can anybody say

I got the Samsung Billing App after making a purchase in the Samsung themes store. So its probably related to some purchase you made from the Samsung store.

Just had a notification that's it's updated on my sim free purchased from Samsung , Samsung Galaxy s7 edge.

Samsung Pay hasn't been released in the Uk yet.

I have recently purchased an official leather case and wireless Samsung Charging Stand fro the online Samsung store but I wouldn't have thought that to be connected.

On AT&T and got it too. I also had my CNN app replaced with CNN for Samsung app which seems to be all video news. I had to delete that and re-install the CNN app from the Play store.

Here's the what and why... it's an in app purchase (IAP) payment module. This is the link to the developer page, all the details, and the specs: http://developer.samsung.com/iap

My phone just installed Samsung Billing also. I don't mind it being there but just don't want to pay for something I DID NOT ASK for.
NOTE: I was able to disable it and it was supposed to revert back to factory settings.
