Samsung Calendar Notifications on GW4

For some reason I no longer get a notification from the stock calendar app on my GW4 that I'm able to Snooze/Cancel. All other Samsung apps like Clock and Timer produce on screen notifications as they did on my GW3. All of my settings look good. I've rebooted both watch and Note 20+. Anyone else experience this?

I think I'm having trouble as well. Will pay closer attention this morning. I have personal calendar notifications and work calendar that are through the secure email system/calendar and I'm almost certain I've been getting those notifications.

I also have my watch set to turn on display when a notification comes in (so that I don't have to even touch the watch to see the notification) but it's only doing it when I get texts, not for Gmail.

Just had a personal calendar alert. For some reason, I get the notification on my watch, but it doesn't vibrate as do all other notifications, nor does it turn the display on with the notification.

So I'm not crazy. Sounds like you have the same setup I've confirmed. My screen wakes for normal notifications like Samsung Email, Google Tasks and Tapatalk but not the Calendar.

I'll keep trying other stuff. Pls let me know if you find anything!

Gmail app is behaving similarly. No popup like Samsung Email. Just the notification indicator.

Yeah, and I would really prefer not channeling my Gmail through the Samsung app. Hopefully this gets fixed. I'm not sure if the screen lights up and/or vibrate notification with Samsung messages, as I installed google Messages shortly after setup.

Samsung Messages is behaving correctly for me. To bad they couldn't restore from my Watch3 backup.

Google messages misses too many of my replies when "importing" my messages, so I don't use it.

So, I got an update to Wear OS earlier. We'll see what glitches it fixed. I was used to Tizen and only seeing changes with software updates, bit Wear OS updates could fix the notification problems.

Does the software version end in BUH9? That's the update I got when setting the watch up.

So this was an update to Wear OS. Updates to the watch will likely be from Samsung and will address Samsung specific apps and issues, such as all the biometric stuff. It's like a Samsung phone with Android, sort of. Android is Wear OS and the Samsung phone is the watch. I think improvements can and will be seen through Wear OS updates (including tweaks for battery life). I've owned Wear OS watches even longer than Tizen, and that's been my experience with them.

This is my first Wear OS device. How did you get it if not through Galaxy Wearable app?

I just got an update to the Samsung Wearable app and now my Samsung Calendar app notifications are working. Screen turns on, watch buzzes and i have buttons to dismiss/snooze. I'll keep an eye on it. Maybe test some other apps that had the same issue.

I got an update today also, but haven't had any personal calendar alerts to see if it's working. Gmail still just shows notification dot.

I received a Samsung Calendar update today. Notifications still work, but the pop-up screen now has snooze/dismiss buttons that can be activated using the bezel. More in line with the other Samsung watch apps.
