Samsung Captivate Cases

I contacted OtterBox and they said they are working on cases, so perhaps a month or two?

good to hear. So in the last two weeks, to paraphrase, OtterBox has gone from not working on a Captivate case, to thinking about it, to working on one.

I am getting more hopeful.

The official response is that IF they are indeed working on a case for the Captivate, it will take anywhere from 2-4 months. Anyway, my Amzer Luxe Argyle case (Smoke Grey) arrived today. I get my phone tomorrow. Can't wait

in anticipation for the captivate to come to canada i have been obsessing over it so i designed a dark version of an astromech droid from star wars then made it into a skin for my phone (inspired by the droid 2 )


i named it r6-a2 because the phone will be my 6th phone with rogers :O and my second phone running android os

I purchased a great screen protection kit from Phamton Skinz. ( Phantom Skinz |Samsung Captivate i897, cell phone skins, screen protectors, cases, covers, shileds, full body protection ) It was a complete body cover kit. I got quite a bit in the kit. 2 Clear csreen protectors, 2 matte screen and body kits. I had a Zagg clear screen kit but didn't like it because of the fingerprint issues. The matte finish screen protector is fantastic. Your fingers slide over it with out sticking and NO FINGER PRINTS!

I also purchased a Amzer rubberized snap on case. Again a awesome item. Fits snug and gives the phone a little grippy feel. Amzer? Rubberized Black Snap On Crystal Hard Case For Samsung Captivate i897

Quick question for the group here. I don't think it's been asked, but I may have missed it.

Are there any issues with a hard snap case if I'm planning on being able to easily swap out batteries or should I stick with the jelly case?

I have had hard cases on just about every phone I have owned in the last 10 years... the snaps tend to get worn after the first 5-10 removals. It doesn't take long before the snaps start breaking off.

So I just try to avoid taking off the case...

I just received my Amzer jelly silicone skin case. This case is by far the best out there and cheap. I bought it off eBay foe $8. It reminds me of my otterbox impact skin I ha for my old blackberry 9000. Its a good cheap case that doesn't add bulk to the phone and a great alternative until the real name brand cases comes out.

I picked up 5 different color cases and a charger at Amazon for $6.00. At this point, they seem to do the job.

I've had my phone for several weeks now, I originally picked up the HTC Aria and returned it due to size.

Got the Captivate instead and I am using the Case that was provided from the AT&T store.

The case to me makes the phone seem huge and not practical, I enjoy the phone without a case so I ordered a full body "kit" from Phantomskinz.com.

Hopefully I can have that slimmer feel with great protection. I love this phone it just seems HUGE at times. New protectors should be in soon, and I originally went with Phantom because they were having some kind of a summer deal with 30% off so I ordered 2 for my phone and the ladys iPhone4.

I got the clear full body because I couldnt find pictures of the matte finish and I also got the black carbon fiber.

They did charge my.credit.card 2 times on accident so I sent them a email and they quickly.replied back saying the problem was fixed and my order was shipped. Lol still waiting

I've had the Seidio cases for several of my phones. The case and holster are of great quality, work well and if there is a problem, Seidio will replace it ASAP! Great customer service!

Great customer service!

Not if your 5 days out of warranty. I had a Siedio case for my Tilt. It was poor quality and they weren't interested in replacing it when the second one failed for the same reason as the first.

There are other brands that are better and other vendors that give better customer service.
