Samsung device can't connect to AppleTV using ANY app.

Hello. I have two Android devices that where provided from MetroPCS (both are Samsungs), and I've been trying to get them to mirror anything on my Apple TV gen 3. I've tried just about every single app that has been suggested on numerous websites, forums, youtube videos and the like, but these android phones don't even seem to even see the Apple TV like it isn't there. I'm not as savvy when it comes to mobile devices, so I can't help but feel like there's something missing that MetroPCS stripped from these devices that would otherwise let all these apps work right of the bat on an Apple TV. Again, the apps scan for an AirPlay device, and is never able to see my AppleTV.

Does anyone know what might be causing the problem?

I figured that much, but I was thinking of something along the lines of the AirPlay service not working properly due to MetroPCS possibly stripping something from their Android devices even when the phone is rooted.
