Samsung (direct from them): Note 8 Pre-Order Thread

They aren't all shipping fine though. Some of us who ordered on the 24th, 25th, and 26th still have nothing. Charged cards but but no confirmation e-mail and still in pre-order on the Samsung site. Even as note7 owners which were promised priority. There seems to be no rhyme or reason unless they are shipping to the east coast first? I'm in California. Are the ones who have stalled orders on the west coast as well? Maybe that's it. Idk at this point.

Gaaaaah! I ordered 2 Notes 8, Black, on August 31st. Both orders "Confirmed" Today. HOWEVER, the order I placed LATER (5 minutes later) was shipped and given a tracking number, yet the order I placed first is still confirmed. What is going on? How does this make sense!

Ordered my AT&T N8 on 8/31 w/ next day shipping. Order was confirmed and shipped today. Tracking says it will be delivered on 9/12. That's 2-day shipping. CC not charged yet to verify if I was charged for next day.

I ordered from mobile bogo on Wednesday got tracking yesterday got it today Wahoo way to go mobile tried to get unlocked ordered on the 24th never got anything from Samsung so I cancelled.

Seriously, the only reason I ordered from Samsung was the trade-in deal.

Go to "my orders" on samsung.com. Then scroll down to the "Trade In" Item and it should say "Print Shipping Label" or something along those lines.

I ordered on Aug 24th. Comfirmed but no shipping yet and I'm in PA. No ryhme or reason. The shipping has just been handled terribly.

You would have to compare color, carrier, destination, date, and other factors to know if it's a raffle system or rather just supply and demand.

Yo friends. So my phone is scheduled for delivery on Tuesday. But I will be in class then work until 8pm, can't call in sick because I'm a poor college student. Is there a way I could have Fedex hold the package for pickup? There isn't an option to do that on the tracking website

I think you can try to call them (Local Fedex) and ask them to hold it. I know samsung made it so that you can't pick it up on paper, but calling your local shipper seems like a good chance.

Mine is still stuck on preorder since the 26th. No e-mail confirmation. Anyone that ordered on the 26th have any movement?

I ordered mines on the 26th (TMO Variant), and it switched from pre-order to confirmed Yesterday. I also took the SD & Charger, which the charger is confirmed and the SD is still "pre-order"... haven't had any update since... My shipping date is 9/11... so if the status doesn't change til then, I'm going watch the iPhone announcement and might cancel the note 8 and stay with the iPhone Lol.

I'm in California as well, I ordered on the 26th, it just switch from Pre-Order to Confirmed yesterday for 2 out of the 3 items. The SD card still shows as pre-order. My shipping date is 9/11... urgh! Also, Former Note 7 owner... I guess Priority/Expedite order doesn't mean crap...

Use the FedEx app and you can specify vacation days that they will hold deliveries. Indicate your first day when you will be home to receive deliveries.

Agreed. Apple has:
1. Better Service
2. Knowledgeable Support
3. Nice Staff who understand you
4. Just overall a good company who feels like they care about you.

However, the Note 8 looks amazing and it's just nice. They have the most horrible service and I have to say, I have been scammed. 1 year warranty is a lie. Before it expired, I submitted a ticket to get my phone (Note 5) fixed since the audio jack wasn't working (buggy/only one side worked). I confirmed with a Best Buy agent an a T-mobile agent that I could just turn it in to get it fixed/replaced as there had been no water damage. After sending my phone in, I get it back after 2 or so days after delivery saying there was water damage. #StoryOfMyLife

EDIT: Also, there water indicator wasn't tripped at all. I don't use my phone in the shower, and I have never dropped, given shock, nor put water on my previous phone.

I'm a former Note 7 owner, ordered direct from Samsung (T-Mobile version), it's now been shipped, with a Sep 12 delivery date (via FedEx). I have a naive question that I'm guessing many of you know the answer to. I am going to give my current phone (an S7 Edge) to my wife when the Note 8 arrives. My question is: do I need to go in to a T-Mobile store and have them do anything? Or can I just move my the sim card from my wife's current phone (a Note 4) into the S7 edge, and move my sim card from the S7 Edge to the Note 8? (Obviously, I'd have to reset the S7 edge, set her up on that, etc.) I've poked around in the "Bringing your own phone" section of the T-Mobile web site, but that didn't answer my question.
