true! However I live in Southwest FL and the latest forecast models keep shifting west with Irma. Some of them bring it ashore Fl. Either way it will be a large and powerful cat 5 hurricane it looks like. If they don't ship by Thur thousands of us won't be getting our phones on time along the east coast. Someone is going to get hit by this. the GFS model shows a large cat5 just off FL and hits northern SC now. Granted if this hits you, you won't have to worry about your Note 8 because you might not even have a house anymore.

I hope you and anyone affected by hurricanes stay safe and sound when Irma does hit. I live in NY and the only hurricane that hit us bad was Sandy and I hope that it doesn't come this way as NY is not built for hurricanes or any disastrous storms.

Hope that they will keep the phones safe too during the storm. As long as you get it safe and sound I'm sure all the wait will have been worth it

If it hasn't been physically picked up then I don't think you'll see anything from the tracking if it's other than Fedex. Might be wrong, but I've only seen pre-notice with Fedex. You may have UPS, just a guess.

I used Samsung Financing for both Note8's that I ordered. I got the shipping notification for one. The other is still just confirmed. They'll be sending out the notices throughout the day.

If you are trying to order unlocked model they are on backorder now with October delivery I believe. Best is try from some carrier or a carrier model.

I didn't pay for overnight as well so once it goes active it should be same for me. Tuesday or Wednesday is perfectly fine for me. I'm happy that Samsung.com orders shipping early this time unlike every year.

Ordered mine on aug. 24th and just got my ups tracking, which is not trackable for me yet. Paid overnight as well, so hoping for Tuesday delivery. Also the freebies are coming along with phone. The dex dock shipped separately on Friday.

Ok probably just for your order that would make sense. But many of us have got UPS tracking saying shipped but not active still.

But still weird how they put a wrong tracking for your order. It's not like manually some one is entering tracking numbers into the system (hope not). It will all be automatic, they scan the package to your order in the ware house and that should automatically update the tracking on the order and change status to shipped.

Just now got my notification of being shipped. It's a UPS tracking number. Went to UPS and tracking on it not available yet. Mine is the ATT carrier, ordered through Samsung.com on August 24 around 8 a.m.

I've been pouting all morning long because everybody has seen movement on their preorder but me...lol. I must've checked my order status a million times. I swear right before I was about to pick up the phone, call Samsung, and cry like a baby with first world problems...a notification pops on my phone informing me that my credit card has been charged the amount for my phone.

Still don't have my tracking number yet. But, I gotta feeling that's right around the corner. Hang in there, everybody!!!

My order status just switched to Confirmed. Gettin' warmer...
