Samsung (direct from them): Note 8 Pre-Order Thread

Well my 8/24 Sprint order is now showing Backorder.

So much for Note 7 customer priority lol.

From what I'm reading, this deal ($425 trade-in) is available through the end of the month. So I'm hopeful all of you get yours asap - really want to see how it is received in the real world before I trade in this old S5 for $425.

Still waiting here. It's odd I get a tracking number but can't track via UPS or Samsungs website.

It's actually quite common. It usually means that a shipping label has been generated but UPS doesn't have the item yet. Once they receive the item, they'll begin to provide tracking info.

At least some of you are getting a timeframe. I ordered on August 25 from Samsungs website in Canada, mine has said shipping from September 15 since I ordered (currently says the same date on the site if you place a new order). They already have charged my card on August 26.

I called AMEX to advise them that the charge would be coming through. They told me not to worry about it. It would go through. Today, they denied the charge and told me to have the charge reprocessed. I call Samsung.com, they told me my order was cancelled and I would have to reorder. I tried to use the same email address from first order to get the note 7 discount and it said offer as already been redeemed. I call Samsung back to see if I can get the discount again. They told me I would have to email proof of purchase and wait up to 5 days for the discount to reset.

I finally got my email reset. I reorder the unlocked Note 8, but now it will not arrive until October 1st

That sucks, I know Samsung customer service isn't the greatest but may be you can contact them and try to expedite to a supervisor or something to see if they can bump up your order in the queue.

That is a good idea. I will give it a try, but I won't hold my breath.
