Samsung (direct from them): Note 8 Pre-Order Thread

GFS model running right now has a cat 5 hurricane hitting Miami then traveling in the middle of the state and about 90 miles to my east. If this shifts 100 miles to the west the track on the next model run and heads due north, I could have a cat 5 on the west coast, I live in Charlotte County and would be same path as Charley only bigger and stronger. My house would be flooded with surge and gone anyway. On this model run Miami would be demolished.

true, but this isn't compact like Andrew or Charley. A storm this size half the state will be destroyed. Would be worse than Katrina and a national disaster. The wind speeds of this thing would also probably be about 190mph at landfall based on that run. They would have to start evacs Thur morning if models keep it up to get half the state out.

A storm like this could kill 500k with the wind.

However if the trends keep going south it could go in the straights and hit the pan handle or more west. Or go over Haiti and be a lot weaker. I can see a Donna 1960 path too. Like I said the wind and surge would wipe my house clean anyway.

I personally can see it hit the west coast but being over cuba more time I'd say a cat 3 or cat 4.

Yayyy!!! I just got my tracking number and Order Shipped email from Samsung. So I expect to see this Thursday or Friday. Problem is UPS delivery sucks in my neighborhood. Shows Out for Delivery as early as 3:00 am and don't get stuff until 7:45 pm sometimes.

We should start to get tracking late tonight hopefuly. I did overnight shipping so hopefully tomorrow morning my phone is on the plane! Looks like I will have a hurricane next monday so I hope I get it by Friday if I have to leave.

Okay so my parents checked their account and their card wasn't charged yet but I have the status as shipped from Samsung. Did they deny the charge thinking it's fraud? I have a UPS tracking number but it isn't trackable because it has not been picked up yet. Should I be worried?

Or do they charge when UPS ships?

I know something wasn't right. I'll just order from Tmobile then.

I have the same thing, but my card was charged, then removed and have shipping/tracking number. I'm sure it will show up once the banks open back up. Relax...

I emailed order support just to make sure. My dad had the problem with his other Visa card trying to order a high dollar item online and they rejected it and he had to call them and get it all sorted out so that's why I'm curious.

I don't want to lose the $425 credit too like some have who had to re-order. No big deal I'll just go down to the tmobile store and order it and sell the S7 edge if I have to.
