Samsung (direct from them): Note 8 Pre-Order Thread

Went to Best Buy yesterday, they had the black note 8 available. I preordered there, I pick it up tomorrow (Friday the 15th). I will receive the 425 dollar trade-in credit through Verizon and a additional 150 off from Best Buy. Projected monthly payment to $14.75. (if I get full trade-in value) and I still qualify for the preorder freebies. Much better deal than Samsung's. I canceled my order from Samsung. Problem solved.
The trade in for Verizon is up to $480, depending on what you have to trade in. Your preordering late in the game, hopefully they will have one for you tomorrow. Good luck, you will enjoy it.
 
Perspective helps people. I know it sucks that your phone is behind, because of a hurricane. But at least you're not one of the people, a quarter of the population in the keys at least, that lost everything. But keep worrying about your phone being late, obviously the most important thing in the world.

Mine is two hours away. Will be delivered today or tomorrow. I pre-ordered early. But as far as I am concerned, Samsung met the release date. Anything beyond that was just extra.
 
I packed my two Note 5's in their seperate boxes and seperate shipping labels. Wow, I used my Note 5 with tempered glass and a clear poly case. It has not a single scratch neither on the screen nor back which was amazing. Noe the thing is I hope samsung will not screw us over like they did to some people from the GS8 preorders. I took a video showing the condition, holding charge, power, home button, and volume buttons working. I have not. Ordered Sept 6. Verizon variant. Order status still says pre-order. I have received no communication of any kind since the order, I have no idea what to expect.

My card had the authorization hit, which (edit) is still there reducing my available credit line (not that I plan on using it). No actual charge has been made.

I'm gonna call Samsung everyday until I get tracking...they will get tired of me but idc
 
Has anyone here ever rejected a Samsung.com shipment before? If so, how long did it take to get a refund?

Dude if you get it just keep it. After all this hassle I see no reason to return it unless you already got the Note 8 from somewhere else.

I think Samsung should give us late people something extra for the troubles

I would too, but I don't have an hour an a half to waste sitting on hold every time I call.

In my previously mentioned, strongly worded email to Samsung, I suggested they should send me a Gear VR 2017 edition for all of my issues. Never even got a reply. :D
 
Ordered 9-7_17 unlocked black and delivery week of 10-1. If I change to an AT&T model it will ship out next week.

I ordered 9/5 Verizon version. No change in preorder status. I thought it was supposed to ship today? Oh well.

Well it's still sitting at the hub near Miami with no delivery date scheduled. I know it's a pain to return it but this is BS when I can just walk into Best Buy or Tmobile tomorrow and purchase one, I could be waiting a week still. If I refuse shipment and after a few weeks I have no refund then I will dispute it with the charge company.
 
Soooo I just spoke to a customer rep who talked to the manager who said she is in direct contact with the warehouse
The reason for the delays is that they weren't getting enough FEDEX agents to come get the packages in time (they are saying FEDEX is at fault) but I was told that I should receive a tracking confirmation either today or tomorrow and the phone should be delivered Saturday by 8PM.

I hope this is true for real this time
 
Hope that's the case smooth. While the phone being late is annoying, my biggest gripe is no updates. There should be an automated process in place to at least give an update if the deliver by date has arrived and shipping information hasn't shipped out. I have sent two emails two days apart, they are supposed to reply within 24 hours, and I haven't gotten a reply or order update yet. Ordered 9/5 verizon version black, previous N7 owner, confirmation email said arrive by 9/14 for phone and charger. The SD Card confirmation has shipping week of 9/25. I'm assuming they are shipping everything together; which would push phone shipping date to week of 9/25. But who knows since Samsung won't give an update.

People have been getting theirs without memory cards in the box.
 
Starting to wonder if $7 more/month would be worth it to not have to play the Samsung.com wheel of punishment game?
I.e. just order from VZ and get $240 for GS5 instead of $425 from Sammy.
