Samsung (direct from them): Note 8 Pre-Order Thread

This is the exact situation for me!
Bank of America declined the charge (for security reasons) which pissed me off because I knew it would delay it, BUT Samsung should have notified me that the payment was declined within at most 3 days to update my payment, but NOOOOOO I had to call them like 1 week and a half later and told the customer rep to escalate my issue to the warehouse. It was ONLY THEN that the next day I got an email saying I could update my payment. I used a different card and the payment went through immediately. I called Capital One and told them to preapprove the charge. I'm gonna start doing that with all preorders now
Chase denied mine for fraud protection. Verizon had a update payment email to me about half hour later. Samsung is horrible
 
I just called them to check on my order status, and chose the callback option. I was given an estimated call back time of four and a half HOURS. . . . .
spoke to them yesterday about my order (att, 6/6/17, note 7 discount) and was told that YES it was in fact shipping out tomorrow (today) and with my one day shipping would be here on friday. . . . as of right now my order is still listed as "pre-order", so yeah, not getting it tomorrow.

Did the same thing today. Tmobile version all they said was it should ship out on the 15th and receive it two business days later. No body at samsung seems to have any real info.
 
You sure, I thought I read somewhere the note 7 trade in deal ends mid September, like around the 23rd 24th. Can anyone confirm???

Note 7 trade-in deal expires on Sept. 30th. For the promo's (SDcard/charger, Gear360) must be purchased by Sept. 24th. So if you want to trade-in AND receive promo gifts need to purchase by 9/24, otherwise you can still get trade-in deal until 9/30

Has anyone that was given a ship date of sept 15th when they ordered gotten any updates to their order at all? I placed my order on the 7th and they emailed me confirmation right away saying phone and charger will ship BY the 15th. SD card by the week of the 25th. No updates since and order page on the site still says preorder. I know there are so many people experiencing the same exact thing but is there anyone that has gotten updates sent to them? Like real actual updates not just some bs that a rep told them that may or may not be true.
 
just got off the phone with samsung. was on a call back list for 2 hours. my phone still hasn't shipped. I ordered it on 8/25.
The person I talked to has no idea why it's been just sitting in the warehouse. apparently I should have received it by now. I'm glad I called but kinda pissed at samsung. I would have been better off walking into a store tomorrow to pick one up.
 
This morning Samsung told me that the unlocked version was very popular and September orders wouldn't ship until October 1. Also told me that Samsung would be sending order status updates within the next day or so. Said since I ordered in August mine should ship sooner. I hope so, my N4 is struggling.
 
I just went to Best Buy and found the freebie offers are also good if I bought it there. They had a couple black ones in stock and were allowed to sell me one. There was a $150 off deal if you pay monthly, but they allowed a down payment large enough that I only have 44 cents a month on my bill for the phone.

So...I cancelled my Samsung order and walked out of BB with a Note 8. I'll have to wait for the card and charger (which you redeem through a Samsung app, so they will take forever to ship I bet) but that is no big deal.
 
I had this happen to me. Call them. I called earlier today, my phone has been sitting in a warehouse waiting to be shiped. Nobody knows why it hasn't gone out yet. My ship day was supposed to be the 11th. Looking like I might get it next week now. At least they put a note to express ship it to me.

Like you my order page on Samsung just stayed in the "pre-order" status.

Note 7 preorder on 9/4 (after 2 wrong attempts starting on 8/24, but that's another story) I was told on that date that the phone would arrive by 9/14. I've been calling frequently because my order has not updated and received the same scripted reply regarding waiting for a tracking order as many of you. No tracking # today so I called and was given the same response. I refused to hang up until speaking with a supervisor. The supervisor said that all unlocked phones would not go out till the 1st week of October. He said that if I had ordered a Verizon phone I would have shipped today. When I was assisted in placing the final order for the unlocked phone I was not told this information or I would have likely ordered the Verizon version in the Orchard Grey which I couldn't purchase in the unlocked version. Too late for that now. I did go into BB yesterday and they are offering the $150 off plus $480 for my Note 5 but said that I'd have to pay the $ 12 monthly to get the discount. I want to pay the phone off in full. Also, they said that it was not likely that at this date I would receive the free accessories as they are only going out to the first 260,000 preorders. (I don't know if that's just from BB or all preorders). I'm not at all happy about this whole process.
 
In the same boat as well. I've gotten a new card and can't update the information. Ridiculous, that note 7 loyalty priority huh.

Can we start a ship by date pool? Still kicking myself for getting a crack in my Note 5. I would have my VZ phone already for an even cheaper price if that wouldn't have happened. 3 days after I got my first cracked screen back, it slips out of my pocket while I was kneeling down and cracked again. Torture continues.
Looking at the bright side, I bought an S5 for $90 and get to keep my note 5 for backup
 
It says in transit now, last scanned at the hub in Miami where it's been sitting since 9/9 due to Irma. It says "delivery date unavailable check back later" but when I go in UPS mychoice to the select delivery window time it gives a date of 9/15. Does that mean I still might get it tomorrow?

I don't believe that about the Verizon model since mine hasn't shipped yet and they said they have no idea when it will
 
They will literally say anything to get you off the phone. There seems to be a competition between customer service reps on who can come up with the best excuse. Very few businesses could get away with this.
