I use launcher pro and under preferences you have the option to disable wallpaper scrolling so it will not follow you as you move across your screens.

It was launcher pro plus but got the custom launcher icon pack from the market( really worse the $2) and make your clock widget from the market.

We need to get some theme action on this phone. The stock brownish theme is ok for a little while I suppose.
There are so many themes for the fasc, I will be kinda sad when I get this phone.

It's kinda funny you would quote something I said a couple months ago, which is eons in smartphone time.
At this point, the charge is pretty good as far as dev support goes. The theme support is great also. Look around here and xda, lotsa themes/roms/kernels. It's getting better all the time too.
