Samsung Epic 4G Lag Fix: RFS to EXT4 for Froyo DK28

i followed the steps but i only have clockwork mod recovery v2.5.1.0. does anyone know what i might have done wrong?

never mind, figured it out. i accidentally opened the wrong oneclickroot file that had the v2.5.1.0 in it

Did you try different drivers and also you followed the setup for step #4 correct?

very frustrating. what do i do? ive tried different usb ports, ive rebooted, ended adb. cant figure it out

Did you do this part of Step 0 (with debugging mode off)?

Plug your Epic into your computer via USB and let Windows recognize your phone/configure the drivers. After Windows is done with the drivers, unplug your Epic.

It wouldn't hurt, give it a shot.

Also - sometimes if I'm having major problems getting a .bat file to correctly run and modify my phone, I'll Odin back to stock (Froyo in this case) and then run the file again. It seems to help for some strange reason.

im on stock froyo. i started this from stock eclair. updated to froyo following the factory restore to froyo guide. then trying to move on ext4 root

im trying on another computer. installed driver for 32 bit windows. connected my phone recognized it, disconnected. reconnected in debugging, its trying to install more stuff, but its takking some time. is this normal?

i may have messed up. i was following what some of the things said in various threads. when putting the rom onto the sd card, was i supposed to leave it in the zip file or extract it?

nvm, i remembered that i can remove the sd card and plug it in to my computer and add the zip to it that way haha. ive finally got it. YAY ME

Ok I have tried every usb cable and port I have and it keeps telling me device not connected i have rebooted and tried different combindations but I cant get it to work. please help thanks.
I had the same cable problem, and bought a Monster 1.5 foot cable for $15. It worked perfectly. It's amazing how a cheap cable can ruin everything.

Looking for a little help please.

I am currently rooted and running the deodexed version of the stock leaked upgrade. Clockwork is version 2.5.1.0 (i believe)

When I run the "run.bat" file from the OneClickRootCWM3 zip it starts off okay then it appears that it is not achieving root maybe?

This is part of the message where it stops.....

"adb connection will be reset. restart adb server on desktop and re-login.
Wait for phone to reconnect...
Root was not obtained after 60 seconds. Make sure the phone is connected and tha
t adb is working. If adb shell isn't root, reboot the phone and try the script a
gain.
Press any key to continue . . .
Mount system as r/w, cleanup old files, do some basic configuration
mount: Operation not permitted"

I hit a key And it continues on after that but fails most operations?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!
