Does anyone know how financing works through Samsung with TD Bank? I assume they will send me information and the contract either by email or snail mail about how to pay my monthly bill.

Your guess is as good as mine. I also got instant no interest financing for 24 months at $41.60 monthly payment. As long as you make the monthly payment on time, you don't get charged any interest/fees. I'm sure I'll pay off my full balance of about $975 within several months anyway.

You will get an email with the terms and instructions for setting up your account after you receive the phone. It took me a couple of minutes to setup.

The website will show each purchase, your balance and promotional end date. Just make sure you don't have to a late payment. On top of the high late payment fees, they WILL reduce your credit limit. When I setup my account, I couldn't keep track of my due date and it came back to bite me in the end.

You will get a bill. You can set things up online if you'd like which is what I did on a couple of past purchases with no issues at all.

As for payments, it works just like any credit card promo. As already noted, do not miss a payment. I set them to go out automatically.

The "set it and forget" method.

Good to know I can set auto payment. We do this with most payments we have. Late payments really screw up your credit score.

So be careful I opened an account when I got my S21 ultra, and paid it off only after a few months, and they closed my account. Now they want to re-run my credit to open a new account.

Yes if your inactive for a period of time your account will become inactive. I believe you then need the original email and password associated with the Samsung account. If you don't remember your original password. Then yes, you will need to reapply. It is a hard hit, to your credit score, but doesn't do too much damage on its own. Too many hard hits will effect it though.

This is true of any credit account. I would think TD Bank would inform you of an inactive account, though, before closing it. You'll know when you buy a new phone and choose Samsung financing; if it's still open, it will just apply to that account; if not, you'll need to supply SSN#, etc to open a new one.

Unfortunately Samsung and TD bank are not very communicative. Each tells you to call the other. People with active accounts according to TD bank, are still often unable to get Samung.com to recognize the account upon checkout. The account goes inactive on the Samsung side, not with TD bank. That's the problem. But other than that, the TD bank side handles things well IMO. Never had a problem with them.

Me, either. I've used it a few times and have always paid it off quickly. I just use it when I'm not sure I want to lay out a large sum.

Their online portal sucks. I can't even reset the password. I end up paying by phone because the password can't be reset for me to go online.

The portal feels like it was created In 1995. But I have used them for my N20 Ultra, and my Tab S7+ without any real problem. I do recall however that the fist payment (when i had set up a new auto transfer) did not go through, and they sent me a late charge notice in the mail. So just be sure to verify that first auto pay, and then you should be able to forget it.

When can I expect to get information on the financing of this phone from TD Banking? I'm assuming when I receive my whole shipment. I haven't gotten my two cases from Samsung yet as they are backordered.

This s what happened to me with this pre-order. Samsung failed to lemme use Samsung financing, kept getting a technical error. Round and round with order support that was "escalated" and never did figure it out. Then Samsung had the nerve to say I didn't have any available credit, when I had a zero balance, so it is Samsung's error. I had to end up using another credit card. I use the account (Sam Fin) ONLY to get new phones/watches, but looks like I'll have to move on from Samsung...
