Samsung Galaxy A40 - I'm missing the always-on display - solution?

[Android Central Question]

I've just bought a samsung Galaxy A40 and find that it doesn't see, to have the always on display and I have to switch the phone on to see any notifications or the clock. (I had this on the A5).

So now. the phone screen is completely black unless I switch it on and across the ropm there is no indication that a message has arrived if I miss the sound alarm.

Is there a solution, app, widget or add-on to solve this?

guys i need always on display too. ive tried some apps but those r draining too much battery.

anyway to get original always on display on samsung a40?
