Hi! I broke my LCD today and I only cried for like 2 hours. Anyway, my phone was on the couch when I threw my perfume bottle and I accidentally hit the screen of my phone. There was a crack on the side and the display went black (but there's like a tiny line where the screen is still working... sort of)

So anyway, I was planning to have the LCD/whatever you call it replaced and I was wondering... would the display still be the same? Do I need to ask for some special kind of LCD so it would still be the same as when I first got my phone? I don't really know how this works, please help me! And sorry for my bad english *panic*

Take your phone to a "reputable" repair shop... a shop you can trust. The problem is that it might just be the screen, or it could also be the screen and digitizer. Changing just the screen is not an easy task. It would be easier to change both the screen and digitizer because they're glued together... although it would cost more, of course. If the shop repairs it correctly and uses a high quality or OEM (original manufacture) screen, then your phone should work just as well as when it was brand new.

On the other hand, if things start to go wrong with the repair, the cost might escalate to more than the cost of a new phone. It's important to find a trustworthy repair shop. You can also call Samsung to see what they say, or get an estimate from them.
