Samsung Galaxy - Cracked Screen Defect, not dropped, Note 3 & Note 2, S4 & S3

true enough....now I have find the windows phone just as good as the note, doing almost the same thing at a cheaper price..and less customization. In Android, 3 different ways to do the same thing ( in some cases ) become annoying in a long run..I'll see after when the WP 8.1 comes

Eh there is no app support for Windows phone compared to Android or ios and the only phones that interest me was the Samsung Windows phones anyways lol. I have t-mobile and the window phone options are limited to the Nokia lumia 521 and 925 and I for one isn't fond on Nokia design

for me I am not a big apps guy...as long I have txt, call, email and web browsing I am good. oh and blocking any phone number.

I just wanted to bring it up if Samsung or Bestbuy or where ever you bought the phone ( or any phone) won't fix it for free within the first 90 days if you bought the phone with your Amex or Discover card ( Idk about Visa or Master cards since I down own any currently ) they offer 90 days of protection coverage where they will cover the cost of fixing the phone or device.

I don't know if you did read the whole thread. Some peeps got refused the free repair within 3 months of purchasing it. Samsung always says you dropped it so you pay for it even though peeps says they did not dropped it..and from the pics in here you can see that. no scratch, dents.etc .Here in Canada for telus that is what they said to me 3 months. After reading so many peeps got refused so who do you believe?

This is a service by your credit card and not done by Samsung of the retailer that I am talking about. Idk about how the process works but I would guess if you broke the screen or whatever if say you bought it on your American express (the phone) and then paid for the repair with your American express they will compensate the charge for you?

I clearly stated not done by Samsung or retailer in my previous post and stated these are services by credit cards :)

Discover and American Express cards have these benefits and maybe some of the visa and MasterCard ones do as well ?

Depends on how you bought it presumably. I'm sure most genuine victims will have considered their options. This exposed a major flaw with Samsung CS, which is why I was interested earlier. I have fallen through the cracks of a lot of official systems, many have. But this is an expensive device which should give a lot of pleasure with reasonable care, and have the deserved reassurance of a FULL backup in the event of a defect - which many here can prove.

That's why I always buy any electronic device with my Amex or discover card since they have this protection service for 90 days + extends the manufacture warranty an extra year

Last night my husband place phone on couch message came he went to pick up to look and he push the home button to put password in screen is completely black sound and light work but screen is black.
I called at&t and Samsung but I'm sure it's going to be same problem.
I've had the phone for 3 weeks and it actually has 2 screen protectors.
Here are my pictures slightly can see it.
But here is one more case.

I just had this happen. I am a T-Mobile customer and just received this phone less then a month ago. I was on a business trip and my phone was working great prior to take off. I turned the phone off and put it in the front pocket. When we landed I turned my phone on to check my messages but my screen was black. I thought maybe it was stuck so I restarted it but nothing happened. I brought it to the store and was told LCD cracks are not considered under warranty and are considered physical damage. I asked them to show me the physical damage because an internal screen crack to me is a malfunction when it was not dropped or mishandled and they said they couldn't do anything for me. I have never had to replace any phones of mine due to damage and am pissed this happened. The store said maybe the flight caused internal pressure causing it to crack. The insurance company wants me to pay $175 deductible for a new phone but I won't because this wasn't my fault!

I have a feeling that since they (Samsung) can't or won't figure how it was damaged (defect or physical) they just won't take it and make you pay the $200 or so to fix screen or pay for insurance premium

As someone who is looking to get a GN3 this thread is kind of worrying. Did a count and out of the 196 posts, about 11 different people actually posted pictures of the issue.

Counted again 12 people. Although 2 of those people's phones just don't look like they have any damage as far as the pictures show. Not calling anyone a liar, it just seems like a lot of the people complaining didn't show any pictures to back up the issue, and literally everybody with an issue was a new member when they posted, some of them haven't even posted since their first time.

yeah everybody that has that issue need to post pictures in here for proof..because nfluencedaworld wants to bring it into lawsuit which would be awsome to teach Samsung. Even in crackberry forum there is someone that saw his screen cracked while looking at it ( Z 30 - 5" ). then when he checked it out with the carrier he was told that the digital screen underneath is not warranty
Those people are always accused having it dropped..which is probably bull
