Samsung Galaxy - Cracked Screen Defect, not dropped, Note 3 & Note 2, S4 & S3

Guys,

I am really glad I found this topic. I suffer from the same issue, the thing is that I live in Poland and have no idea if I can join your lawsuit against Samsung.

Attached is the picture of my S4 which I have never dropped, sat on it, etc. One day when I unplugged it from the charger, it was hot as hell and the screen was cracked. I requested the warranty repair at the authorized service center and it is denied.

Obviously, there is something with Galaxy screens and Samsung (or the service centers) refuses to admit that and take repair costs. I am really looking forward to see how it will be resolved for the US customers.

After I sent Samsung my phone, they quoted $216 for repairs, but they couldn't even tell us HOW it was damaged, and what caused the crack. This is insane; I've never been dicked over so badly by a company. Any update on the status filing for the lawsuit?

yeah it would be interesting to know how it is going......Nfluencedaworld should give some update on the subject....long time ago he said he needed at least 100 peoples for that...I wonder if the people can be from around the world or just in the US....I don't know....

If I remember well, someone had said that it needed to be sent as evaluation only in order for samsung to fix it

That is what mine was sent in as... evaluation only. The lady who filed the ticket didn't even put it under cracked screen because she seemed to know they would just write it off immediately.

that's too bad cause if i still remember well, some people got theirs fixed because of that....but I might be wrong....

I want to join the lawsuit! Had my Galaxy S4 Active for 2 weeks when I woke up with a screen crack from top right to bottom left after charging overnight. I didn't do any physical damage. I know the phone overheats when charging because it is significantly hotter than my husband's phone, same model. I send it into Samsung and they decide it is "out of warranty" because of the crack. I asked them to repair the overheating issue because I plan to have the phone for over a year. They told me they are an "all or nothing repair center" and cannot fix other problems without me paying $167 to repair the screen. The worst part is that I know I didn't do any damage to the phone, but somehow they determined I did. I will send in pictures of the screen when the ****tards send it back to me.

well I guess it is time for me to sell my note 3 before the screen crack....Those phones are expensive...........and they don't warranty it.....not right......Samsung wants our money and give nothing in return......yes they are like you said........********.

I have the same problem I have the note 3 for 4 months and I had it on my dresser and went back and there was cracks inside the top left screen inside the screen and it stays black. I called sprint they told me to contact samsung and so I did and now samsung has my phone and told me it's physical damage and that I have to pay 216.00 to repair it. I said I wasn't going to pay it and now they are going to send it back.. What should I do ?

when you get it back post pic of in here........

if you have read the entire post the is someone who is looking for a Class Action Lawsuit against Samsung....I guess for now you are out of a phone.....or you could buy a cheap phone like pay and talk as you go and put your sim card in it and wait for what will happen for that lawsuit....

I don't remember how many people are in this situation.....he need at least 100 people to go for it....

In the meantime don't buy samsung anymore....

As for me I have sold my Note 3 a couple days ago.....that way, I will not run into the problem....but I will continue to follow this thread...

I have had my Note 3 about a month. It's been in an Otterbox Defender case since I bought it. It developed a crack this morning while I was using it in bed. I haven't dropped it or used it out of the case. Samsung and Sprint refuse to accept responsibility. I would love to join class action lawsuit

I am in the same boat as everyone else. I made this account just so I can post here too. I haven't talked to Verizon yet but I would suspect that they will deny me. :-/ Will update as I can.

I am sorry to hear that everyone. I still need about 20-30 more people to get everything started. But we are close. I just wish there was a simpler way to just get our phones fixed or replace at no charge to use. But I guess there are levels to this! Smh

I would like to join the class action lawsuit. My note 3's screen cracked less than a month after buying

Why should he sell it or return ? I personally know plenty of people including me who have galaxy s4 who doesn't have cracked screens. I have had the s2, s3, s4, and note 3 and so far no problems on any of them except my s2 where I dropped the phone a lot

Sure it is a problem but why be paranoid about it.. There is a problem but plenty of people who don't have this issue which means it is only effecting a small amount of people

sure no one need to paranoid about it but when someone pay $200.00 + tx for a phone on 3 years contract and that happen to someone...what then, next one has to be paid full price...lots of people can't afford it..

It's still obviously a small issue since it hasn't hit papers or online news sites. Plenty of people don't have this issue so while I agree with the lawsuit don't need to be paranoid about it and get rid of a phone that could very well be good. My s3 and s4 never had problems like this personally though I only had the s3 for about 8 months and the s4 for about 6 months

the fact that the screen crack would be fine with me providing that Samsung would fix it and not saying to someone (you drop your phone. it is out of warranty .) How can Samsung go that way? Obviously they don't want acknowledge that there is a flaw somewhere or pay for it.

Yes but there is what a few dozen here complaining about this problem and millions more having no issue with this? While I do believe Samsung should fix the problem for no charge from you I don't think it's logical to sell your phone for something that could very well not happen
