Samsung Galaxy - Cracked Screen Defect, not dropped, Note 3 & Note 2, S4 & S3

Well let me know. I have been fighting att. I don't know one person in their right mind would openly pay 659.00 for a phone. And they want to pass it on to me even though their phone rep told me they wouldn't charge me. I Will continue to post on every android/att/Samsung sights bad reviews to both att and Samsung until I feel my issue has been resolved. Such b.s. we have to even fight a issue like this when clearly was a Samsung defect.

Those are my feelings exactly. What area are you in?

Mine isn't a cracked per say but looks like someone used an etch a sketch on top left corner clearly can be seen that its under the screen

Did you find out what the crack was? My gf has a galaxy s4 and suddenly there's a line under the screen about 2" long top left corner going down. Of course we didn't pay the 6 bucks/month for insurance.

No I used the warranty and explained that was under the screen and that Samsung lnows

i had same problem on 28th dec 2013 and 1jan 2014 in my brand new note 3 have 2 big crack and it was divide in four part. these crack only on glass not another damage.and screen glass come out from
i had buy it on 22dec, received on 27 dec and activate.
when i call buymobile one of uk retailer they give replied it was a not a under warranty. i have to talk to samsung.

i had check expence to fix it..it is ?200.
if u got any solution pls pass me.
or if u got cheap fix it idea pls tell me.

So soon.. that is not right. read the thread carefully and give your name to the one that is working on to do a class action lawsuit. The more people on the better.

Also you can call Samsung and tell them what happen.

I am so dissappointed with my GS4. i had a phone upgrade recently from iphone4s to GS4 last dec. 26 2013 (boxing day) from target canada under Rogers. After using it for 8 days with no problem at all and havent transfer my contacts yet and trying to familiarize with android thing, my GS4 screen crashed with green line colors everywhere (with no sign of glass screen damage), I never drop my phone or bang it to something hard, i'd just tried to plug (charge) the phone at work and in no reason when i plugged it, the screen suddenly went black, i unplugged it quickly and seen that the screen goes crazy and the green lines everywhere. I am so sad that this happened just 8 days after the purchased. So, i went back to Target hoping for a product replacement, but the manager insisted that they want to make sure that this is a phone fault before doing a DOA (replacement i guessed) they sent the phone to a repair center somewhere else to have their opinion and issued me a loaner phone that cost 100 dollars (refundable). I am so dissapointed how Target treated their customers, the manager clearly on the side of the store saying they dont want to cover the cost of the phone, then who'l gona cover it? I tried to contact samsung and they want me to send the product to them once i get it back and if the store dont replace it. I think it's againts the consumer act/law, i should insisted for a replacement.... my GOD its just an eight days from purchased. Im lucky that I did not buy their extended warranty, it just not gonna help as what the manager explained. So the bottom line is SAMSUNG product sucks and TARGET MOBILE Canada sucks ... I'd rather buy phone from the phone carrier next time.
 
unfortunately I was looking this up after I found the same thing my screen got this weird crack from top left corner downwards until the bottom button. I thought may be I didn't know what happened and if I was the only person. Really upset since I have the phone for less than 4 weeks !!!
contacted online Samsung support told me that I will have to ship it to them and it will cost me 178-220 dollars!
I think this is really bad and I need to know your opinion.. I will submit a picture later but it is very similar to what you guys posted so far

it should be warranty by your provider and /or them

there is someone in this forum that want to start a Clas saction lawsuit...look for him

Same thing happened to me. My Screen Cracked For reasons unknown. I CAN Hear SOUNDS but I have total Blackout. I called Samsung and they told me to bring it to Telus. I bring g it to Telus and the guy tells me not to bother sending it it away. Warranty will not respond. He tells me to bring to bring it to a private shop for screen replacement. It will be 1/3 of the cost. Nice. New phone. Not dropped. First time in god knows how long I venture from apple. Makes me thing I made a huge mistake.

Apple has issues too... People complaining of bent phones even when not abused... And they were denied warranty. uploadfromtaptalk1389454426182.jpg

how long do you have your phone???

when I called Telus, here, in Alberta, they told me that Samsung warranty the screen for 3 months.

if not, well, another one in the Class Action Lawsuit...
 
I wonder why, they told me 3 months...Maybe Samsung knew about it...

It is a waiting game.....But I hope mine will never cracked :)
 
Now I gotta pull out the old iPhone 4. It's 325 bucks to fix the note 3.

Wow sorry to hear everyone. I hope I'm not like those whose phoned cracked. I'll have to be more careful. I'm constantly sitting on the phone when its in my rear pocket. Guess no more.
